Dr. Vyas is a general surgeon with extensive experience in robotic, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. He is among rare physician scientists who investigate role of smart drugs using nanoparticles and irreversible proteasome inhibitor in inflammation. The clinical application of his work has been well-established in both triple negative breast cancer and sepsis.

In addition, he spearheads the fastest growing international education program in pre-hospital trauma care education. His contributes expansively to science: as editor and Chief Editor in major basic and clinical science journals and textbook.

Global Health

Dr. Vyas contributed to training approximately 2000 first responders during his 2014 in 8 sessions using the most innovative education model with the intention of spreading the knowledge of proper emergency care.

This is the fastest growing program of its kind anywhere for first responder training and with projected growth can reduce trauma mortality by 25% in next 6-8 years. This program includes faculty from various leading institutes in the US and aboard like India.

Dr. Vyas believed that by training policemen, paramedics, firefighters, security guards and ambulance drivers, in the proper care of the injured patient before they arrive at the hospital, thousands of lives could be saved and further lifelong disabilities could be avoided.
