Pharmacy Residency

Curriculum

The core patient care rotations for the PGY-1 residency program are:

  • Internal Medicine (2 months)
  • Critical Care (2 months)
  • Cardiology (1 month)
  • Infectious Disease (1 month)
  • Family Medicine (1 month)
  • Emergency Medicine (1 month)
  • Patient Care Electives (2 months)

The residents’ participation in the Ambulatory Clinics spans the duration of the year as a longitudinal learning experience and includes physician-run clinics, such as Cardiology and Infectious Disease clinic, as well as pharmacist-run clinics.

The pharmacist-run clinics include:

  • Anticoagulation
  • Heart Failure
  • Diabetes

Patient Care Elective rotations include, but are not limited to, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Advanced Ambulatory Care, as well as additional months of any of the core rotations.
